Privacy Policy
Draft for Adam's review (2026-10-04). Boilerplate written from what the site does today. Items in [brackets] need Adam's answer. Not legal advice: have an attorney review before launch, especially if the business, its tools, or where it sells change.
Effective date: [Month Day, Year]
This policy explains how Adam A. Wier ("we," "us") handles information collected through adamwier.studio (the "site"). [If Adam works through a business entity, name it here, e.g. "Adam A. Wier Studio LLC."]
The short version
- We collect only what you choose to send us through the contact form, plus the basic technical information any website receives when you visit it.
- We use it to reply to you and to discuss your project. We do not sell it, rent it, or use it for advertising.
- The site does not use analytics, advertising trackers, or marketing cookies.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you use the contact form, we receive:
- your name and email address;
- your answers to the form's questions (for example, what you'd like to do, the kind of space, how you'd like a piece to hang, how many pieces, what you're looking for, and, if you choose to share it, where the work would live);
- anything else you write to us, including in follow-up emails.
Technical information. Like every website, the site's hosting provider receives standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. To keep spam out of the contact form, we use Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks signals from your browser and device to tell people from bots.
What we don't collect. The site does not use analytics, advertising pixels, or third-party tracking scripts, and its fonts are hosted on the site itself rather than loaded from a third-party font service.
How we use it
- To reply to your inquiry and talk with you about commissions, collaborations, or available work.
- To keep records of our conversations and any work we do together.
- To protect the site and the contact form from spam and abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help run the site and deliver your message, and only as needed for that purpose:
- Cloudflare hosts the site and provides the Turnstile spam check.
- Resend delivers contact form submissions to our inbox by email.
- [Email provider, e.g. Google Workspace] hosts our email, where your message and our replies are kept.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or safety or those of others, or as part of a transfer of the business. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Cookies
The site itself does not set cookies for analytics or advertising. Cloudflare may use strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies to deliver the site securely and to run the Turnstile check. Because we don't track you across sites, there is nothing to opt out of, and we treat browser signals like Global Privacy Control as a confirmation of that.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiries and related correspondence for as long as needed to respond, carry out any work together, and keep reasonable business records [e.g. for up to X years after our last contact], unless you ask us to delete it sooner and we aren't required to keep it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what information we have about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing [adam@adamwier.studio]. We'll respond within a reasonable time and won't treat you differently for asking.
California residents. California law gives you the right to know, correct, and delete the personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information.
Visitors outside the United States. The site is run from the United States and its service providers may process information in the US and elsewhere. Where laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on your request (to answer your inquiry) and our legitimate interest (to keep the site secure) to process your information, and you may have additional rights, including to object to processing or to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
We use reputable providers and reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date above. Significant changes will be noted on the site.
